This course focuses on introducing the learner to the essentials of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design, from the foundational principles of user-centered design to dissect the necessary steps to achieve the goal of creating artifacts that allow the users to meet their needs in the most effective efficient and satisfying manner.
This course is delivered in a studio manner that allow you to adapt and connect the theory to practice through directly applying into creative and collaborative projects. You will go through step-by-step iterative process to innovate, develop and present digital products in a learning environment that simulates professional tech incubation. Courseworks are delivered in a variety of format, from lectures, peer reviews to hackathons, mock investor pitches, etc.
In today’s digital era, UX/UI is a fast-growing and talent-hungry industry with a lot of opportunities for young creatives. With UX/UI becoming increasingly important to customers’ experience, UX/UI professionals are incredibly valuable to many modern businesses.

Giang Nguyen is a designer & educator based in Saigon, Vietnam. He specializes in branding, graphic design, digital design, type design & generative design. Rarely spotted in the wild, his natural habitat is either at a pocket-sized design firm called Behalf, or a classroom of RMIT University, where he teaches digital media.

Republish is a self-initiated and exploratory project by Behalf Studio. The project seeks to investigate the typographic remnants, hidden in the apertures of urban landscape and archived materials, and revive them into digital typefaces. Available on Adobe Fonts.
